A decade of empowering futures
Kzarvani means voice of the underserved
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Kzarvani Foundation (formerly known as ABS) is a non-profit organization committed to the holistic development of children, particularly those from marginalized communities. Founded by a group of passionate young students who have since pursued diverse professional careers, the foundation emerged from a shared concern for the challenges faced by children in underserved areas. We began this journey during our college days, driven by the urgent need to address the plight of these children, and since then, we have dedicated ourselves to creating lasting change.
Our primary focus is to provide quality education in all spheres to children in rural areas, ensuring that financial difficulties do not prevent them from continuing their education. In addition to this, we place a special emphasis on preserving and promoting India’s rich cultural heritage, particularly traditional dance, art, and music forms. We actively support and offer scholarships to children pursuing these art forms, helping them reach their full potential and empowering them to become professionals in these fields.
Recognizing the importance of digital literacy in today’s world, we also integrate technology into our programs. We aim to equip children with the digital skills necessary to succeed in an increasingly connected world, ensuring they have access to the tools and resources needed for academic and professional advancement.
Kzarvani Foundation was established on January 23, 2014, in Kolkata, and officially became a registered non-profit on November 23, 2020. Through our initiatives, we strive to bridge gaps in education, empower the youth, and preserve the rich cultural legacy of India for future generations.

Ananda Shikshayatan
Abode of joyful learning
Ananda Shikshayatan, meaning "Abode of Joyful Learning," is a flagship initiative of Kzarvani Foundation that embodies our belief in the transformative power of education. We see education as a gateway not just to knowledge but to creativity, confidence, and curiosity—essential tools for shaping young minds.
Born out of the post-COVID crisis, when many rural children faced disruptions in their education, Ananda Shikshayatan aims to bridge the gap by offering sanctuary and hope through free learning centers. Located in remote areas of India, these centers provide holistic education designed to meet the unique needs of local communities. By integrating the wisdom of tribal cultures with modern education, we craft a curriculum that is both inclusive and empowering.
What We Do at Ananda Shikshayatan:
-
Academic Support: From foundational literacy to science, we strengthen children's formal education with personalized assistance.
-
Skill Development: Through art, dance, music, and craft workshops, we encourage creativity and self-expression, giving children a space to explore their talents and ideas.
-
Health and Hygiene Awareness: We educate children and families about health, hygiene, and well-being.
-
Technology Integration: Basic computer skills lay the foundation for a future in the digital world.
-
Community Engagement: By involving parents and local stakeholders, we build trust and ensure sustainability.
-
Bonbhojan: A monthly picnic where children enjoy wholesome, nutritious meals in a joyful outdoor setting. It ensures they receive healthy food while sharing moments of happiness and togetherness.
Our Reach
Currently, Ananda Shikshayatan operates four centers across rural India:
-
Labhpur, Bolpur
-
Uttar Debipur, Sundarbans
-
Katamari, Sundarbans
-

We are expanding with two more centers soon:

Ananda Shikshayatan is a beacon of opportunity, lighting the path to education, creativity, and a brighter future for rural children.

At Kzarvani Foundation, our commitment to women's empowerment is reflected in our comprehensive training programs designed to uplift and support women in various spheres of life.
Our teachers' training initiative at our free learning centers, Ananda Shikshayatan, equips educators with the skills and knowledge to inspire and educate young girls effectively, ensuring that education becomes a tool for transformation. Beyond academics, we recognize the power of sports in shaping confidence, teamwork, and leadership, which is why we actively support coaching in kabaddi and women's football, providing opportunities for women to break barriers and excel in athletics.
Through these initiatives, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment that nurtures personal growth, professional development, and athletic excellence, ultimately contributing to the holistic empowerment of women in our communities
Computopia
In a world where technology shapes the future, access to it is a necessity, not a privilege. Computopia, an initiative by Kzarvani Foundation, is dedicated to empowering children in remote and underserved areas with the digital skills they need to thrive in a tech-driven world.
What we do:
• Digital foundations: Teaching essential computer skills, from hardware basics to software use and internet navigation.
• Safe online practices: Equipping children with the knowledge to navigate the internet responsibly.
• Access to learning: Providing opportunities to explore new subjects and skillsets through online platforms.
• Community involvement: Collaborating with families and local communities to emphasize the value of digital literacy and drive collective progress.
Through the TechTutor Project, Computopia goes beyond just learning—children become digital leaders. What starts as learning soon transforms into teaching, as young students guide their peers through essential computer skills such as word processing, internet browsing, and educational software use. This initiative not only strengthens their own tech proficiency but also fosters a sense of leadership and responsibility.
Computopia is more than a program—it’s a gateway to endless possibilities for the next generation. By ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has the tools and knowledge to navigate the digital world, we create a ripple effect of learning and empowerment within communities. Together, let’s ensure no child is left behind in the digital age
